“I'm just a Goddamn Chain Reaction”
(while listening to Corduroy by Pearl Jam)

-I added a couple new features to my blog. I added a link for each entry that will pop up a window with the most recent entry in my Top Ten Songs database to the date of the blog entry. I did it cause I'm always reading my old blog entries and wondering what songs I was into at the time. And now I can find out without having to open up another browser window. I made this feature mainly for myself, but everyone is free to use it.

-Also, I decided I wanted to try and make my own page hit counter, so I started one from scratch. If you scroll to the bottom of the blog page, you should see the counter. I'm not done working on it yet, so until then it will remain at the bottom of the page and out of sight. Right now, all it has is stats for today and stats for alltime, and the only two stats it has is how many total hits and how many unique hits. Unique hits just means how many different computer's IP addresses have viewed the page. Anyway, I just think it's kinda cool to see who and when computers are hitting my blog. Of course, it's hard to figure out who's IP address is which person, so I don't really know who. But I can see things like how many different computers go to my site, when they like to visit my page, and how many different times they go to the page. It kinda feels like snooping, but whatever. After all, it is my website.

-I feel for those people who were affected by that bridge collapsing in Minneapolis. It just totally sucks.

-I'm starting to wonder whether or not switching to a Humana Gold Choice Medicare plan was the right way to go. I did it because I wanted less bills in the long term, but that means in the short term I have more copays. And since I'm going to the doctor about once a week and my copay is $30, it's quite a big bill to contend with. With the medical bills I currently have, plus all my other bills, it's hard to get by on what little I get from Social Security. In fact, I've been slipping more and more into debt these past few months, so if I don't adjust my budget it will only get worse.

-The Oakland Raiders signed Daunte Culpepper to a one year deal. I think it was a good move. I predict that he will be the opening day starter. JeMarcus Russell may be the future of the franchise, but it is my hope that he doesn't play a down all season long. Because that would mean Culpepper is playing well and that the Raiders are winning.
