“Frustrated Incorporated”
(while listening to Corduroy by Pearl Jam)

-Well, I went to the eye doctor, and the verdict is in: I officailly have cataracts. Apparently they are so bad that I need to have cataract surgery to fix them. I was hoping they could just shoot some lasers at my eyeballs and make everything better but that's not the case. They actually need to operate on the eye and replace the lens. This also means that I'll need reading glasses for the rest of my life, but that's not a big deal cause I knew that I'd need them sooner or later. They said the surgery is rather simple and complications are rare, which is cool. I'm still way worried about it, but it's nice to hear them say it's a simple procedure. I have it scheduled for November 14th. It'll be scary but at least I'll be able to see better after that. And they said my sensitivity to light will get better also.

-I'm still having issues with my right shoulder. Last night was another long night. I went to my Valley Medical clinic visit this morning and told the doctor about my shoulder pains and he set up an MRI for my neck/shoulder on Friday. Hopfully it's not really bad news like cancer or avascular necrosis. I'll keep you all posted.

-When I went to the SCCA on Friday they told me that my cholesterol was high. I go back to the SCCA in February and if it's not under control they'll put me on some meds to correct it. This isn't the first time I've been told that my cholesterol is high, but it's the first time they've told me I might need meds. So, it looks like I really need to start eating better. I knew this day would come, I just hoped it would be much later in life. The good thing is that since I eat so poorly it won't take much to make a difference. I just really need to cut out the fatty junk food, eat more fruits and veggies, less fast food, and eat less overall. It'll be hard, but I'm gonna try to work on it.

-The Oakland Raiders had a bye this week, but since the Cheifs and Broncos both lost the Raiders found themselves in first place in the AFC West. It's been awhile since I've seen them on the top of the division. They probably won't stay there for long, so I'll enjoy it while it lasts.

That's all I got for now. Feel free to check out the lastest The Adventures Of Timmy!, if that's you thing. Later,

 Kyle
