Vacation Week
(while watching Andy Richter Controls The Universe on my PC)

Hey. I've spent the last week on vacation in the Portland metro area. It was a cool week and a lot of things happened. Here's basic, stripped down list of what I did this past week in Portland:
 
 
 Friday, November 30th
 
 Morning:
 -Mom, Karly, and I start our journey from Renton on our way to Portland.
 
 Afternoon:
 -We get into Portland and head to the Taco Bell for lunch.
 -Buck heads out to Taco Bell with his kids where we all get to see each other for the first time in years.
 -After lunch we head over to Cody's to see his new place.
 -We all decide to go bowling at Hollywood Bowl. I score a 108 and a 100.
 
 Evening:
 -After bowling, Karly drives me to Casey & Cassy's in Gresham.
 -All my friends show up, including Luke's new girlfriend Andria and her daughter, which I got to meet for the first time.
 -We all exchange presents. Key presents I received include True Romance on DVD, another Bengals stocking, a Pearl Jam poster, a book, a video game, some homemade candy, and various little The Office knick-knacks.
 
 Night:
 -We all play Cranium. My teams winning question was the fill-in-the-blank "_ _ O T _ _ N" with the hint "is a football formation". I answered with "Shotgun" almost immediately.
 -After that we played Scene It! on the XBox 360. I won the first game, then get my ass handed to me on the second game.
 
 Late Night:
 -Everyone leaves except Casey, Cassy, and I.
 -We all decide to pop in some SingStar. We all get down with our bad selves and turn Casey & Cassy's home into the new "C+C Music Factory".
 -Casey & Cassy both get drunk.
 -I don't get drunk, and I make up for it by eating lots of crackers and chocolate.
 -Casey passes out at the kitchen table. Cassy and I stay up and talk for a bit longer.
 -They finally go to bed. I finally crash on their couch around 3am.
 
 
 
 Saturday, December 1st
 
 Morning:
 -Get woken up by Violet about 9am. I keep her company 'til Casey & Cassy finally get up a little while later.
 
 Afternoon:
 -Karly picks me up from C+C's and drives Mom, Cody, Karly, and I over to Stacie's.
 -I pretty much get to see my whole family under one roof, which was a little awkward but something I rather enjoyed.
 -I was also able to see Jill the day after she started her chemo, which was cool.
 -I watched the Civil War game on TV. Oregon lost. This upsets most of the people watching, except fro Cary.
 
 Evening:
 -I stuff my face with all kinds of food prepared by Stacie. I decide to stop counting how many deviled eggs I've consummed around 5.
 -Our family exchanges presents. I got a kick-ass Bengals scarf, a small Bengals helmet, and various other little knick-knacky things.
 
 Night:
 -People start to leave Stacies.
 -I ride back to Tony's place. Buck also comes over and Buck, Tony, and I go out to Rodder's Pub where we play pool and darts for a while.
 
 Late Night:
 -I crash in Tony's spare bedroom around 2am.
 
 
 
 Sunday, December 2nd
 
 Morning:
 -Woke up early to have breakfast with family at the Oregon City "bottom of the hill" Shari's where I consume even more junk food.
 
 Afternoon:
 -I go bowling again, this time at Gladstone Lanes with Mom, Karly, Buck, Joanne, and Buck's kids. This time I bowled something in the 100's and and something in the 160's. It was pretty cool.
 -After bowling, Buck and I head to our old school sports bar The Ranch to watch the Raiders vs. Broncos game.
 -Mom and Karly say their goodbye and head back home to Renton.
 -The Raiders beat the Broncos. All is well in Raider Nation. Buck and I take turns rejoicing.
 
 Evening:
 -Buck drives me over to Roldog's new apartment by the Clackamas Town Center.
 -Roldog and I watch the Bengals vs. Steelers game at his place.
 -The Bengals lose to the Steelers. It kinda bums me out. Roldog remains unaffected.
 
 Night:
 -Roldog orders a pizza from The Hut. I suck down more cholesterol than I care to think about.
 -Roldog and I play some NBA '08 on his new Playstation 3.
 Late Night:
 -I crash on Roldog's couch around 2am.
 
 
 
 Monday, December 3rd
 
 Morning:
 -I wake up when Buck calls telling me he's at the Clackamas Town Center and he wants me to come hang out with him.
 -Go hang out at the Town Center with Buck and his family, sans Eben who's still over at Jills.
 
 Afternoon:
 -While still at the Town Center, I buy Castlevania: Portrait Of Ruin on the DS. I obsolve all possible guilt by declaring it an early Christmas present to myself.
 -Buck drops me off at Roldog's and heads out on his merry way.
 -It turns out Roldog isn't home from work yet, so I'm forced to wait outside 'til he gets home. My PDA saves the day and keeps me from being bored.
 -Roldog gets back home and all is good again.
 
 Evening:
 -Ride with Jason and Maria to their storage unit in Vancouver.
 -When we get home, Maria makes spaghetti for dinner.
 -Roldog and I play more NBA '08.
 
 Late Night:
 -I crash on Roldog's couch around 1am.
 
 
 
 Tuesday, December 4th
 
 Morning:
 -Watched TV. There was much news about the weather in the Northwest.
 -Due to weather concerns and news of mudslides and road closures, I call AmTrak to make sure my train is still scheduled on Thursday. They say it should be fine by Thursday.
 
 Afternoon:
 -I watch the movie Knocked Up on DVD.
 -After watching Knocked Up I immediately declare it to be totally awesome.
 -I play more NBA '08 on the PS3.
 -I decide that owning a PS3 would be friggin' sweet.
 -I did some of laundry.
 
 Evening:
 -Roldog makes chicken and roni rice for dinner.
 -I walk with Roldog over to Dotty's and buy $10 worth of lottery tickets.
 -I scratch the lottry tickets when we get back and I win a total of $15 for a $5 profit.
 -I play even more NBA '08 with Roldog.
 
 Late Night:
 -I crash on Roldog's couch around 2am.
 
 
 
 Wednesday, December 5th
 
 Morning:
 -Did nothing worth mentioning.
 
 Afternoon:
 -Ride the Tri-Met from the Town Center to Casey & Cassy's in Gresham.
 
 Evening:
 -Played the Magic card game with Casey, Luke, and Jason. I end up losing both games we play.
 -Sang "Total Eclipse Of The Heart" on Karaoke Revolution: American Idol. My friends enjoy a group laugh at my expense.
 -Head over to SE Portland to pick up Casey's friend Lee.
 -Go to the Gladstone Street Pub to meet up with Sean.
 -Run into Darcy, who was having drinks with Sean at the Pub.
 -Darcy and I catch up on each other's lives and talk about old times.
 -Ate a greasy bar hamburger for dinner.
 
 Night:
 -Find out the guy at the bar was giving all of us a deal on drinks cause we were heading to the Tool show and he's a fan.
 -Watched everyone in our party except me begin to drink and act stupid.
 -We finally leave the pub. Jared drives us to the Memorial Colesium for Tool.
 -We all get to our seats just as Tool starts playing.
 -Tool performs Wings for Marie/10,00 Days. It's the first time any of us have seen this song performed. It's was probably my most favorite moment ever at a music concert.
 
 Late Night:
 -The Tool show ends. We walk back to Jared's car.
 -We head to another bar for drinks and pool.
 -Lee stumbles home and Jared drives the rest of us to Casey's.
 -Luke and Jared head back to their homes. Casey heads to bed almost immediately.
 -I crash on Casey & Cassy's couch around 3am.
 
 
 
 Thursday, December 6th
 
 Morning:
 -I wake up around 10am.
 -Cassy makes breakfast for me. She uses fake bacon and sausage, but it was still pretty damn good.
 
 Afternoon:
 -I ride Tri-Met to the Union Train Station in Downtown Portland
 -I ride the AmTrak Cascades train from Portland to Tacoma.
 
 Evening:
 -I watch most of The Bourne Ultimatum on the train. I've never seen the first two movies, so it was a little hard to follow, but it was a decent movie.
 -I was picked up at the Tacoma train station by Karly.
 -We stopped by Subway on the way home.
 -Made it home in time to watch the Thursday night line-up on NBC.
