Tuesday May 22, 2007 (01:36pm) The run around (while watching NewsRadio on my PC) -I'm still in the process of trying to get everything squared away up here in Washington. So far, the going has been very slow. I've been hindered by everything from lame business operating hours to being sent the wrong forms to fill out. It's still gonna take some time to get everything done, but I think I'm starting to get going in the right direction. The biggest headache has been trying to get my birth certificate so I can get my Washington ID. I had to track down a Notary Public to watch me sign the form to apply for a copy. Luckily Karly helped me find one at a local WaMu bank. -Just a couple more days until I get to go back down to Portland. On Friday I'm hooking up with Casey and Cassy to go to the Sasquatch Festival at the Gorge. It's gonna be awesome. I'mn working on a CD mix for the road trip. It will have a lot of Bjork on it, obviously. -Last night I reinstalled the Palm OS my Palm TX. Basically, I just did a special reset that erased all the data and started over from scratch. I'm still trying to get back to where I was before, but I think it will improve it's preformance in the long run. It already seems a little snappier than before. -I still need to establish myself in the medical community around here for follow-up visits. I'm waiting for the Hutch to call me back, and a rep from OHSU said that they will want me to have a GP that they can co-ordinate with. I can go find my own, or I can wait and see who they recommend in the Renton area. I've pretty much resigned myself to the latter. -Still trying to find a good coffee solution for my new living situation. I was given a coffee maker by Katy before I moved, but I was unable to get it to work correctly when I plugged it in. Of course, I found this out after I bought a buncha stupid pods for the damn thing. Anyway, I'd like to get a small coffee maker that uses pods, but I haven't been able to find one that I like. I don't want to spend much, $30 at most. The only pod coffee makers I've seen are big ones that cost $60 to $80. So I'm still looking. In the mean time, I've been using instant coffee. That'll do for now. -The cats up here, Tom and Bob, are cool. Neither of them are as fun to play with as Mitzi was, but they have their good points too. Bob will actually sit on my lap and sleep on my bed, and Mitzi never did that. Also, both cats have their front paws declawed, so they don't scratch me like Mitzi did. Bob has a history of peeing on stuff, but he's been perfect since I've been here. Tom kinda looks like a fat version of Mitzi, but he's mostly a butthead and usually just wants to be left alone. -Buck got an original Nintendo up and running so I sent him some cool games to play. If I remember correctly, I sent him Crystalis, Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Tecmo Bowl, Dragon Warrior IV, Life Force, and Duck Tales. Hope he enjoys them. That's it for now. Hasta, Kyle
