“I'm not like them, but I can pretend. The sun is gone, but I have a light.”
(while listening to Beside You In Time by Nine Inch Nails)

-Well, it's Day 3 since I got my immunization shots. And since I have no signs of Polio or Tetanus, I think it's safe to say the vaccinations were a raging success. Kudos to the medical community! For your next trick, may I suggest universal healthcare for all of us here in the Americas. Take your time, but please hurry. Some of us aren't doing so well as it is...

-Anyway, speaking of medical successes, the blood thinners I've been taking must be working because my leg feels much better today than it has in quite a long time. That Lovenox must be something special. I mean, it's got the word "love" built right into it. I do hate having to give myself those shots in the stomach twice a day, but luckily I only have a few more days of that before all I have to worry about are popping those blood thinner pills (known as Warfarin or Coumadin) once a day. It all kinda sucks, but at least the clot was recoginzed and taken care of sooner rather than later, as it could have been much worse and much more serious if left untreated.

-Happy Birthday Jamie! This one's the big Three-Zero for you, isn't it? That's not so bad. 30 isn't all that old. Sure, maybe you can't remember a time when people weren't pissed off about Vietnam and the thought of a pro football team in Seattle was somewhat laughable, but try to think about all the good things about being 30. Like how... Well, think about... See, it's like... Huh. Ya know, maybe I shouldn't have said anything at all. How about this: Jennifer Aniston is over 30 and she's still a hottie. Did that help?

That's all I got for now. More stupid to come later. Hasta,

 Kyle
