“I got my FIST. I got my PLAN. I got SURVIVALISM.”
(while listening to Survivalism by Nine Inch Nails)

-This weekend has been pretty cool so far. On Friday, Karly came down and we went to see Luke play at Roots. It wasn't one of his better performances, but it was still pretty cool to watch him play and get to hang out with friends. Then on Saturday Karly and I went to Jason McKenzie's birthday party thing, which was neat. We played the Nintendo Wii, ate a lot of pizza, and played poker. And that was pretty much it.

-St. Patricks Day has come and gone, and like every year around this time, I'm overcome with strong feelings of totally not caring one way or the other. I mean, I don't want to sound insensitive, but I'm willing to bet that I'm not the only person who knows nothing about St. Patrick and believes this holiday is just a silly reason to get drunk and be stupid. So if you're Irish and this holiday means something to you, I'm sorry. And if you're not Irish and know nothing about St. Patrick, click here to find out more about this day and what it means to the Irish. And then maybe next year when you go out and get 'faced you can feel good inside knowing that there's a totally valid excuse for your drunken stupidness.

-The new Nine Inch Nails album Year Zero comes out next month. April 17th. Not that they're related or anything, but April 17th is both Boomer Esiason and Maynard James Keenan's (lead singer of Tool) birthday. I'm excited about the album because Nine Inch Nails has already released 4 songs from the new album through their MySpace page. I've been listening to them a lot and totally getting pumped up for the album.

-I may not have already mentioned this, but in late May Casey, Cassy, and I are going to the Sasquatch Festival in Washington. The main attraction will be Bjork, one of Cassy's favorite artists who hardly ever tours the US. Sarah Silverman will also be there as a host, which will be cool. She's more of a comedian than a musician, but I hope she does some music because she's funny. There will also be a bunch of other bands there but I haven't heard of any of them. I know Arcade Fire is one of them, whoever that is. Anyway, I'm gonna try to keep an open mind and hopefully discover some cool new music. I pretty much never listen to the radio, internet or airwave, so this will be one of my only upcoming chances to hear new music. But even if all the other bands suck, Bjork and Sarah Silverman should be enough to entertain me. Besides, it's just as much about the roadtrip with my friends as it is about the music. Maybe even more so.

Well, that's all I got for now. Besides, all this blog stuff is totally getting in the way of my Sunday plan to be lazy and get fatter. So, yeah. I'm gonna go eat some stuff that's bad for me and not move for, like, five hours. Later,

 Kyle
