"The Break"

Something's wrong, I can hear a sound
Subtle waves knock me to the ground
This machine I'm forever bound
Can't control, gotta break it down

Nice try, but I'm not a pawn
Not a slave or automaton
In a trance, so I went along
Last chance, can't get it wrong

Time to dethrone
Cut the wires to the bone
Whatever it takes
Head down till it finally breaks

"Going up?" No, I'm going down
Bought us tickets to the underground
On a mission to repair the crown
This machine's gonna have to drown

Drop the plank, needn't overthink
Start to shake as I watch it sink
Step away, disengage the link
Grab the reins, rally from the brink

Time to dethrone
Cut the wires to the bone
Whatever it takes
Head down till it finally breaks
